Great Article. Uber long. The reason why I like the NYT and the reason I am for paid journalism. It is a in depth article that pulls a lot of resources together and gives a good view of the situation that has arisen.

This one time, when I was just a kid, I put a dollar in the pop machine and tried to get a diet cherry vanilla doctor pepper, but when I pressed the button, it jammed. I started crying. My dad came over and kicked the machine...and TWO cans came out! That was probably the best day of my life so far. I thought this was relevant to the discussion ![]() Click Here to read about the time that I almost found the wizard that lives under my bed. Reply to this |

I hope for a long time. The paper is still 3.80 for the weekend and it is filled with ads. I hope that will sustain them. If I am every to live with out the interweb, the NYT and the Economist would be what I lived on now that I am a news junky.

I don't know how to feel. Sad that I will have to spend money, or happy that they will be able to keep doing great reporting.
